Through the guidance of Comrade Deng Xiaoping's theory of the "Two Emphasis", the school has thoroughly researched the needs of mature students and so put into practice an Adult Education Program. The Adult Education Program focuses on three principles of training that of the moral education of students as a characteristics of each chosen subject and is driven by market demands as well as laying emphasis on its abilities.
Over the past several years over 11,000 mature students graduated from our University. These graduates are highly thought of in their respective fields for their high level of abilities attained from their study with us. At present there are 7,431 enrolled mature students in our Adult Education Program.

Nanjing University of Finance and Economics is the examining BODY for 4 Bachelor specialities (Accounting, Marketing, Financial Administration and E-Business) in the Jiangsu Self-Taught Examination Program. Over the past 20 years over 80,000 students have taken the self-taught examinations held by our University. Each year approximately 4,000 students graduate.

The "China Training Centre for Grain Distribution Management" was established by the Chinese Government with a $940,000 loan from the World Bank and a domestic loan lf 950,000RMB to provide training of Grain Distribution Management. It boast the most modern training facilities and the highest level of qualified teachers. Since its establishment in 1944 with its technical and economic aid provided by the World Bank, this centre has planned and provided vast amounts of training in many fields such as Marketing, Financial Administration, Grain Distribution Regulations and Policies, Grain Storage Management and Grain Storage Bulk Logistics. The Centre has held many national and international conventions such as the Sino-French Grain Convention and the Canadian Grain Committee. This centre, from learning from the experiences of other Internation Grain Distribution and Management Organisations, has turned out large numbers of qualified specialists to improve the modern and scientific grain distribution and management in China.

This School is one of the first appointed national training bases of business administration by the National Economy and Trade Commision. It provides management training to medium to large sized enterprises. Besides this it provides specific training such as WTO Knowledge Training, Modern Goods Distribution Training and Enterprise Conusultation.
