A large number of the University's teaching staff combine their teaching duties with
active scientific research. This has resulted in a number of significant achievements
and research advancements in the fields of Industrial Economy, Market Economy Theory,
E-business, Statistics, Accounting, Finance, Finance and Tax, International Economic
Law, Grain Circulation and Grain Engineering. Since 1997, the University has presided
over and undertaken over 240 national and provincial level scientific research projects,
and has published more than 3000 academic theses. Other publications inlcude 100 works
of various scientific fields and a compilation of 120 recognised teaching materials.
More than 50 Excellent Science and Research Achievements of Provincial Level prizes
have been awarded to these teachers. Furthermore, both National and International
Academic Discussion Meetings have been successfully hosted by University staff.
The University is proud to play host to notable academic research institutes such as Jiangsu Industrial Development Institute, WTO Research Centre, Grain Economy Research Institute, International Economic Law Research Institute, Enterprise Development Strategy Research Institute, Higher Education Research Institute, Quantitative Economics Research Institute, Finance and Tax Research Institute, Commodity Circulation Research Institute and Security and Futures Research Institute. Also established in the University are the key Provincial level E-business Laboratory and Grain and Cereal Oil Quality Control and Deep-processed Technology Laboratory. The periodicals responsible for documenting the University's scientific research, the Journal of Nanjing University of Finance and Economics and Industrial Economic Research, are issued at home and abroad.
